Pre Feed changing size of print ?!?!?!

anyone else experience this? we had to replace a panel on a vehicle due to a misspelling by the customer and when we reprinted it, it was like longer by more than could be fixed.

the only difference was that between the rolls the PF had to be adjusted almost 3mm.

i was blown away. not to mention pissed because I had to reprint the panel next to it (back of an RV) and redo the entire back!!! (#&($****$(#

I've heard Mutoh users having print length issues but I'm not sure as I use Roland.
Check your rip.. Maybe someone changed the feed rate accidentally? I know I manually change my feed rates for banners to 1.65%
