Print issue

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this blur on the print? I've manually cleaned the printer a couple of times, but it's still there in varying degrees. The orientation of the print is how the pics show - the blur top and bottom of the letter is the same direction as the heads travel. My thought is possibly a dirty encoder strip/reader, but I would welcome any other suggestions.

In the past when I have seen that it's from a dirty encoder strip. Clean the encoder strip and print it again.
