Printable Magnetic

We used to get a printable magnetic from a vendor who no longer carries it. Since, we have tried 3 different types of "printable" magnetic that will not run through our printer.

Does anyone have a source for a printable magnetic that they have run with good results.

This would not be used for vehicle magnetics, looking for something that is good for low run fridge type magnetics.

Thanks!

I would try visual magnetics and see what they have that can help. What machine are you printing on? What thickness are you looking for? I've also worked wot Piedmont Plastics and they have a good supplier for .020. But it all depends on what you need.

We're running it through a GS6000. We haven't had luck with magnum. It seems to thick/heavy, and there is a great deal of friction when it moves across the platen.

Is the platen or pre-heater plate ferrous? If so you will either need to run unmagnetized and magnetize it after printing or create a barrier between the printer surface and the magnetized material. I have made it out of self adhesive vinyl and then laminate.

Magnum Magnetics. Its all we use.
MagnetStew...what printer do you have? We have a Roland XR-640 and I tried printing the Margnum Magnetic on it yesterday but cannot get the profile from MM to load!? I tried 6 other profiles and they all printed horribly!? The ink would dry, but the resolution sucked.

Mutoh Valuejets. We had our profiles specially made for the material but I actually turn profiles off on quite a few jobs and it looks just fine.

As the material is quite a bit thick you may have to make bi-direction adjustments to clear things up a bit.
