printer stops printing in the middle of a job - Flexi program manager shut down

I have no clue how this happens but about 50% through job I come into the print room and I see the Mimaki flashing which means to me it is waiting for information. When I check Flexi the program manager has shut itself down with no warning at all and when I start it up again there is no indication that it was printing anything and no windows request to send the report in. I can't say I have seen this happen in over 7 years of printing. Just odd

Did Production Manager split the RIP file in two? When we ran Flexi, we had to make sure to drop both files into the prod manager for it to print properly, otherwise we'd only get half of the file and the it quit. One would just show up as a ".1" file, or something like that, so it wasn't viewable in Prod Man's open dialogue box, only in Windows Explorer.

maybe you're running low on rip computer HD/RAM?
either that, or is your rip computer is going into stand-by mode during a long print?

who knows... it was basically the first print of the day so I would think my ram was ok on a vectored file. I generally see issues if I cut and paste a large bitmap, but have not done. I will chalk it up to just being a typical day in the print industry.:banghead:
