Printer Stretching Images

We recently purchased a Mutoh Facon 1 outdoor printer and we're having trouble with the images being stretched when printed. For instance something that is a 7" x 7" will print 3" x 12". We're using Onyx Mutoh edition rip software.

We've checked the settings and don't see anything out of the ordinary but the Mutoh brand is new to us so maybe we're missing something. If anyone has any suggestions or has come across this problem before we'd greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I did come across that thread when I did a search but we're using Onyx and I'm not really familiar with it or the Mutoh.

Sorry I have never used Onyx. But it does sound like a software problem

Chances are you're using a profile that runs in a resolution not supported by your printer. I hear that 1440x1440 usually does not run correctly on those machines; the maximum usable res is 720x1440 (or 1440x720, can't quite remember which).
