Hi everyone, very first post on here so let me start by saying thankyou to everyone that offers help and suggestions.

Using Roland Sp300v and just out nowhere it has started printing a blue "streak" for lack of a better term. I'm new to all this digital print world so you will have to excuse my lack of knowledge.

attached is he sample of what I mean.

can anybody offer help or suggestions as to how to rectify this issue?

I have one the manual cleaning procedure as well as several (more than 10) medium and heavy cleans

thanks
enzo

Try cleaning the encoder strip with a microfiber cloth. Encoder strip is a thin piece of plastic above the carriage rails. Take your time and be careful.

try to wipe in one direction 0)

How long have you been printing without cleaning the machine? -- not a machine clean but a manual cleaning of the head area etc?

As rjssigns said, give the encoder strip a thorough cleaning and whle you are at it, give EVERYTHING a good manual cleaning, change the wipers and try again. Had this happen on a SP300V at a shop I was working at and the encoder strip needed to be replaced. Cleaning it manually got us through the 3 days until the tech could come out.
