printing on fdc 2100 on a mutoh 64"?

Hi everyone,
we have a job that we printed with our pc-600 directly on to fdc 2100 med grey a while back. the customer has returned for more of the same work & I wanted to reprint on the valuejet 64" using the med grey profile but my colors do not match to the original graphics.the graphic we are reprinting is only a 2 color. black & grey. So the question is can I run the medium grey through the VJ 64" & just print the black like I have done before on the pc-600? thanks for any help.----------------------Sean

You can't. The Mutoh has transparent inks. Scan the gray vinyl and use the eyedropper to find the color formula and print the file with the gray background. You can match with a Pantone color book also.
