As part of an architectural outdoor sign system I need a bunch of logos printed onto a custom green-tinted reflective film for long-term outdoor use.
I remember the "old days" when we would screen special 3m translucent inks onto engineer grade and get a pretty nice effect.
I have tried some digital (solvent) print on oracal so far, and am not that impressed with the reflectivity... although I can get exactly the color I want.
Also, it seems that the lamination will not hold up very long so I wonder if there is a process that would not need lamination.
I am hoping that someone here knows the absolute BEST way to get good color rendition, good reflectivity and long-term durability using the newest technologies.
