Production Manager lost my setups!

I came in today and started to print, and when production manager opened it asked me to setup my printers and cutters just like it was a fresh installation!!?? It's ver 8.6. After setting up the printer my profiles and presets were all there except i had to setup all the default settings I wanted to use. Wierd!

Anyone ever had this happen? or know why?

Had it happen a few times, and I wish I could tell you why. I'm going to assume a 0 got turned into a 1 somewhere, and a key file involved in the presets got corrupted. Any of the times it happened to me, there were absolutely no changes to the system; no updates, no uninstalls, no reboot, nada.

After the second time, I started making regular backups of all my presets, settings, linearization readings, and profiles.

Sorry man, wish I could be more help.

Yes, I can't guarantee this is what happened to you but....
In the production manager if you want to delete a job in your list and somehow you accidentally highlight your plotter or printer it erases it. I don't think it even asks you first so it is ez to do. Or I think even if you have only one job and delete it and hit delete twice it does it. In any way it is very ez to do and I have done it more than once. I would try and figure it out to explain better but I don't want to haha

Same with me, there were no changes or updates to windows overnight or anything. Just worked yesterday and not today.

I have done that accidently also but this was different, both my cutter and printer disappeared over night.

I get this happening at least once every 4 or 5 weeks. I am pretty sure it is just a failure by the computer to load the drivers.

The part I dont like, and you may wish to check, is that once I inform the software of my equipment and it loads the drivers and all my jobs show back up, there is one problem and that is the delete after cutting option is selected and that can cause issues, especially when the cutter has problems reading the registration marks.

Flexi 10 started doing the same thing to me about 7 months ago. I learned my lesson to back up my files and my profiles the first time. Over the course of time flexi was not remembering that I did set up my printer and cutter almost daily. It got to the point where production manager disconnected 3-4 times a day. I called tech support to see if anyone else was reporting the issues, or coarse they were not.

To fix the issue I backed up all my files and profiles. Uninstalled flexi and then reinstalled it. It's been about 2 months and no more issues.

Watch because I said flexi stopped giving me issues, It's going to reach out smack me in the face tomorrow morning.....
