Production Manager

I am very new to the vinyl plotter business I was wondering if someone could help me out or point me in the right direction.I have plotter and have cut vinyl for almost a year not alot but enough for a beginer my question is I went to cut some art work the other day and the production manager said that it could not open port I am using flexi starter and I have not had this problem before!?

that sounds like you are using a usb to serial port adapter and windows has assigned a different port number to the adapter than the one assigned in production manager and or for some reason the port assigned to the plotter has changed as in the case of a usb plotter connection

how do i go about bgetting that switched back to how it should be?

first you'll need to go to start/control panel/device manager in windows and then to the ports tab under device manager to see which port windows has assigned to the adapter or usb port. Then you'll need to use that port in the settings inside flexi production manager plotter setup settings
