Protecting and transporting UV printed ACP Panels

I've been asked to UV print 50 pieces / 4x8 ft / on 3 mm acp panels (alupanel, max metal) . We have a large yard so we will be able to let them "cure"/outgas in the yard for a few days. The customer does not want to pay for lamination and is aware of life span without. The installation company will be picking them up on a on 4x8 skid. I was just going to reapply, as best as possible, the protective vinyl skins we removed before printing them to protect them in transport. I am open to other suggestions to protect them as best as possible during transport.. Taking into account weight of panels, scratching etc...This is a MUCH larger job than I am use to, I appreciate all comments.

We like to use bubble wrap between sheets. Or strips of cardboard.

You know you can get "digital" aluminium composite sheeting. which is what we use and never had any issues with the ink coming off and not adhering properly.

We have a roll of "foam" paper. It's about 1/8" thick and great for protecting prints or paint.

I'd get a 4x8 skid/pallet and build some walls and a top and make a little crate.

As for packaging: Face to Face. Butt to Butt. Also, don't rush. Nothing worse than packing a job up and the customer receives it and the texture of the packing material translated onto your print.

The company that makes Transfer Rite premask has a product called Protect Rite that we use to cover wrapped wall panels for tradeshow exhibits to ship on skids if they aren't crated. Its very similar to the white sheeting you see vehicles transported on Car Carriers that covers bumpers and doors and hoods for paint protection while in transit. Its probably 9-10mil thick, translucent blue and has a low tack adhesive. We got a sample from our NGlantz rep when he brought the TransferRite salesperson around.
