Pulling ink to work!?

I cant understand this. Why do I need to pull ink from the waste line in order to get my heads to print fully?
Almost every day I go to print and I have almost nothing coming out of the heads, sometimes more then others. .
SO when I do a nozzle check I usually have some mixed colors and everything is very faint. So then I pull ink from both waste lines and everything prints perfect again!

How old are your dampers?

yah the head is not sealing properly from the sounds of it. New capping station, but first...., first I would replace the dampers (as they are the cheapest fix). It could possibly be that they are clogging up.

Gut says...capping station though, not going to lie. Lucky you have the model that you do (assuming you still have my old baby?). Parts are crazy cheap from cmyk parts.

Yes same machine flame, that sucker has made me a LOT of money! But, I guess stuff does wear out.

Could it just the pads? Or do I need a entire capping station?

Just figured it out. Somehow the one hose is chewed up and broken in the pump!

Does anyone know quick if the hose that loops around the front of the pumps go to the waste station or if the loop around the back does?
