Quality settings

Not entirely sure if this a "Mutoh" question, or a "Flexi" question...

however, for any given media, there are generally choices between Graphics 1/2 and Quality 1/2/3/4

Some have "bi-dir" on the choice as well.

Can anyone explain the difference between these settings? None really say resolution (eg 1440 x 1440) or the differnce between "quality" and "graphics"

In the same vein, there are choices for:
Preset
Media
Output Profile
Which I am thinking normally would all be the same... however the fact there are choices at all, leads me to think this is not always the case?

There is also "Dither Type" - which I assume KF Diffusion is highest quality level?

Thanks,
Conor

This will explain the 'mode' break down for the ValueJets.

http://www.mutoh.com/products/ValueJet/PrintSpeeds.html

In SAI RIPs 8.1 and 5.03 and lower, you want always to select preset.
This contains ink restrictions, ink limits, and ICC information.
These need to all match

KF should be the highest quality, but also the slowest to rip.

You should try a few on the same image and determine what your needs are, and if you can tell the difference.
