Question for a newbie

We have Flexi 8.6. Wondering if there is a way to rip something and not print it?
Reason for asking, is that some of the graphics are large. It takes a long time for it to rip let alone print. Can it just be ripped? So the waiting time is cut down in time.

Leave the printer off.

Select "hold in list" or "save to file" in Rip and Print.

Yes, you can just RIP jobs in Production Manager. As a user posted above, you can send the job to PM, by selecting Hold in List from the General tab of RIP and Print.

Once the job is queued in Production Manager, open PM, select your job and press the RIP icon across the top of the dialog box (It looks like a round circle with hatch lines across) This will RIP your job, and await your command to send to the printer... which is the next icon over.
