Queston about an Epson Printer

Do signs made with the Epson decal imager pro model 9800 last as long outside as say signs made with a VersaCamm or must they be laminated to get the same life out of?

Any other comments on the Epson would be helpful.

Jim:

The Epson line of printers is NOT intended for outdoor use. As a general rule they are used for indoor prints, and are especially popular in the photo reproduction area for making vary large prints.

I have an Epson Pro 9600, and have used it for very limited outdoor graphics.
However the prints need to be either laminated, over, as we do it, we liquid laminate to encapsulate the print for limited SHORT TERM USE.

If you are looking at long term outdoor vinyl application the Epson is not your best choice.

If you have other questions about the Epson I will be glad to help.

Regards,
Bob C.
