Ready2Print banner

Hi. Does anybody here print on the Ready2Print pre-grometted banner? I have, for a few years now, with great success, but, all of a sudden our supplier can no longer get it, and after a quick search didn't find too many suppliers that do carry it. Also, tried their website, www.ready2print.ca and it is down. Did they stop making this product all of a sudden?

Thanks,
Mark

I'm pretty sure Mutoh partnered with them to make it for their 1204 banner printer. Give them a try.

Looks like you are right. Specs on the Mutoh site say that it was designed exclusively for the 1204, but can't see how that can be right, unless they changed something. Like I said, we've printed on this product with our Rolands for several years. I sent a message to a local supplier, see what their thoughts are. :)

They designed it for the 1204B which had recessed channels in the platen to allow the grommets to not get hit by the print head. People in Canada were using it before the 1204B ever came out. I'm assuming you are using the hemmed but not grommeted version which Mutoh should have both kinds in stock.

We are using the grommeted version. Just have to make sure to raise the print head to high, and I use the media clamps to prevent the banner bunching at the pinch rollers. Never had an issue.

BTW, just received an email from the local Mutoh vendor, (Calgary), she attached a pic of the box, and it is the exact same stuff we have been using. Bonus. :)
