Roland / Dreamscape / Color

Have run a fair amount of Dreamscape Suede on our VS 540i.
Mostly visually busy. Helps.

Got stuck on a job with flat color (OUCH) and floor to ceiling gradation (what were we thinking ?)
Had a few panel color matching issues.
____

Previous research from you, the invaluables, shows that temp and humidity are main culprits in panel matching issues.

____

Can you tell us anything about rotating alternate panels in the RIP?
What does that get you ?
Why do we do that?

_____

Thanks a TON !!!!!!!

rotating panels helps because when installing you will be putting, for instance, what is output on the right side of the printer next to what is output on the right side of the printer, helping with panel color matching a bit

It is good practice to invert (flip) every other tile when printing multi-tile jobs. Every printer and ink chemistry (aqueous, solvent, UV Curing) can have difficulty in producing the same color across the device's print platens (color variance based on what part of the printer produced it). By flipping the odd tiles, you help ensure that the variations (assuming that they exist) will be better hidden, because adjacent tiles will be produced on the same side of the printer (left side or right side).
