Roland Head Adjustment Question

Hello all,

I'm trying to work on my SJ540 and check the bias, vertical and horizontal head adjustments. I keep running in to the same problem with each test and it's driving me nuts. Every time I go to print a test-print the carriage moves to the left and stops, a message flashes that the "head height is too low" and it flashes the busy light and does nothing. I have to hold the PWR button down and hard reset the printer..

After talking to my local dealer they said to flip the head height lever up and try it that way, which I did (btw my default setting is middle).

Am I missing something?

Can you guys and gals lend a hand.. Thanks!

It wants you to set the head to low position make sure also that the media clamps are out of the way.
