Roland LEC 330 Cutting Issue

Hello,
I noticed that the cutting head on our LEC 330 will cut perfect on the panel side of the printer but as it moves left towards the opposite side it will stop dropping all the way down. It will still follow the cut path but about 1/2” above the sheet. Any ideas?

cut carriage cable? that happens a lot on SP300's, i'd imagine a similar issue on the LEC, given the similar hardware.
