hey:signs101:
well i know this printer is old, but last week my mother in law bought a storage shed and found this brand new roland pc-12 in it and gave it to me for free. so i open the box found 1 cd in there and 4 ribbons and the printer still in brand new packaging. i read the manual and found how to do a test print and it prints perfect. but how or what software to use to make it work and print?

flexi can run that thing. Good for gold and chrome foil printing, like for small artsy stuff. Wedding gift labels for the wine bottles and junk like that....

I tried a couple times to get one cheap on Ebay. they get snapped up.

You also may need a parallel port to connect it. Newer computers don't have them anymore so you may need to install one. If it's like my old PC60, you could go serial or parallel - paralell works better.

Also, drivers should still be available on Roland DGA's website under support - downloads. (under legacy I believe)

I'd love to have one for little sticker jobs that come up from time to time. Like Chris said... great for gold foil... and white on clear etc. Great for water slide decals too. Can you still get cartridges?

Yea you can get them cause I look them up. There about 12 bucks for 100 yards. I got it for free so I'm just going to use it for some 3"x2" stickers and labels. So its just a add to my shop.

Roland 12

I too am looking for a used or in your case a new Roland 12. I currently don't have a need for large printing and cutting of decals.
Does anyone know of one for sale in good to excellent condition?
Thanks,
