Roland Plotter Pen

Hi Signs101 Members,

Any chance you know where I can source this Roland plotter pen from, or get it straight from a manufacturer in China?
It's for a Roland GX640 vinyl cutter.

Hope for some assistance or advice, please.

Many thanks

Get some from Amazon and compare the quality. Check the outside diameter of the pen body carefully with a micrometer in the millimeter (mm) size for fitment.
I also bought some from Ebay that worked well for me in my old antique Roland PNC-950.

Those are HP pens like for the HP7475 some 40 years ago. If you want mileage and no dry-up, buy a Mimaki ball pen. They come with the latest UCJV330 for example.

Hi John, thanks for your advice, much appreciated. I've looked on Ebay and Amazon but having no luck yet.
You know where I could find one these maybe?
It takes a Parker pen re-fill.

I had several of the plastic barrel felt-tip marker pens. I cannibalized a few of them and inserted the standard ink pen replacement into the plastic barrel held in place with hot-melt glue. (it ain't rocket science).
Some trial and error may be required for your particular machine and application.
If you don't want to heat up the ink tube with the glue, try two-part epoxy.
