What is a used sc-500 worth? Do they use eco-sol max inks? A guy around town has got one for sell, but i don't know what they are worth? He's asking 9k for it? Is it a good printer?

jason91, $9K is steep for an SC500. It will use EcoSol Max inks. The machine was originally released in 2002 +/- without EcoSol Max inks. I would go and watch it print for a few hours to make sure everything is operating properly. A simple print test is not sufficient. Why is this SC500 for sale? By the way, what sign work are you doing currently?

seems expensive to me, you can get a used sc 540-v from a dealer for about the same price.
