Roland SG 540 Problems

This printer seems like an ongoing nightmare. Since ownership on this printer I have had the tech out close to 15 times now trying new print heads, updating to the new ink system, new dampers, virtually rebuilt this entire printer from the ground up under warranty. When it does print it prints great, but with problem after problem and little to none feedback from roland or the dealer I'm unsure what to do with the thing.

Code I've been having lately if someone can help me get this thing running. 0380 {0002} tried powering off and un plugging doesnt seem to fix the issue.

Check that your Magenta ink isn't low. The -0002 points to the magenta channel. If there's no ink available, the pump can't fill the damper. Next perform the damper fill routine - this solved a customer's problem last night without a service visit - they were ecstatic to be able to keep running. If you've upgraded to TR2 inks, the latest firmware allows you to run this with a special start up key sequence - To enter the Fill Damper Mode, you must power off the printer from the front control panel. Leave the power on in back and press and hold the [Pause] and [Enter] buttons while you power on from the front control panel. Run this a couple of times followed by a cleaning.
If these suggestions don't work, then we're looking at parts replacement, but I'm reluctant to list the parts as proper testing should be done to determine which parts are working or not.

Good Luck
