Hello Everyone, I've been looking at this particular machine to purchase next. Maybe in another year or 2, that is if our Roland Versaart RE-640 ever dies. Im looking for some insight or real-world experience with this particular model.
Such as:
Known Issues with the lastest Model.
Prone to banding?
Does it lay down to much ink some times?
Real world Speed with Roland PCV4 premium cast vinyl Profile (standard quality)
(takes about 4hrs to print a Full wrap 24ft Box Truck)
How does Red print? (Orange-ish)?
How do the black/greys look? (comparing to VersaEXPRESS FR-640)( I know its one of the most difficult colors)
Etc...
A little background before you start suggesting this and that alternative printers and what not...
Owner will only buy Roland Printers
We only Use OEM inks
85% of our prints are panels for trailer/boxtrucks
90% of our jobs are printed on 3M IJ175 lam 8518 ( I believe)
10% of our jobs are printed on General Formulations Auto Mark
Eco Solvent OEM inks ONLY/EVER!
Theoretically I would assume this would print faster with the Dual head setup.
