Roland Soljet pro ii sc-545ex sleep mode?

In sleep mode why doesn't the fan around the boards shut off? It constantly is running??? Noisy machine....

when my sp300v sleeps nothing is running...

The fan is the cooling fan for the head board, and runs all the time unless the printer is actually turned off. The SP series has no fans other than the bed vacuums.

Yes, the fan is noisy, though it was quieter when new.

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the cover off and really cleaning the fan good and making sure there was no dust in it. Once I did that You can barley hear it run. Just make sure you shut the machine off and unplug it... There is so much static you can easily fry the board. :) Good Luck!
