Roland SP-300 Question

Can the heads be soaked overnight while still in the machine?

I wanted to place a small metal cleaning tray up under the heads and was wondering if this is how it should be done or do you remove them from the machine first.

I am experiencing some drop out with the black and cyan in the test prints and after a manual cleaning along with a medium and powerful cleaning thought maybe soaking the heads overnight might work.

Thanks Jim

Search function on the forums turned up this:
there's previous posts about it too, but I didn't want to spend all afternoon digging through threads
Quick and dirty,

soak the capping stations with cleaning fluid.

Soak a coffee filter with cleaning fluid and put it between the heads and capping station and shut down the machine for about 20 minutes.

manually lower the heads and remove the soaked filter.

do some powerful cleanings.

You might end up having to put in cleaning carts, hook a syringe up to the ink line after the pump and see if you can get things flowing.
