My sp540v front panel display is blank and making a loud high pitched sound. All the buttons even the sub button don't do anything. I always keep it on with the sub power off to keep the ink circulated. But i woke up the other day to the sound coming from the front panel. The busy, base point and setup light was on but i had to unplug it for it to stop. It has been working fine until this happened. Looking for any help. Hopefully its not a main board. I don't want to start replacing boards without knowing where to start. HELP!!!!

The control panel board has failed. I have them in stock if you need one

Thanks. After this happened when I try to power it back up it takes a long time for all 3 lights to come up on the side. The 2 green are on steady and the yellow blinks. When they all come on is when the panel makes it's sound. Would this card affect all the other powering up?

It can do. I have had the high pitched sound before though and replacing the panel board fixed it. The buzzer that sounds is on the panel board.

It could also be a mainboard or servo board issue, but these are both a lot more expensive and there isn't an easy way to test them. Generally when they fail the control panel board will come on, but then give error messages etc..

It is a tested used one OEM one. You can't get new ones anymore, Roland stopped making them years ago. The only new ones are chinese copies, that don't always work very well. Will send you a message now
