Roland VS-540i Sheetcut Function not working

Our VS-540i printer was working fine yesterday but today it pretends, but doesn't even make a scratch.

I replaced the blade and made sure it is in the proper position. Any suggestions?
There is no way to "turn off" this setting is there? We had a technician take a look at it?

With the machine turned off, push the cut head as far left as it will go and then push it back to the home position. This will test the cut mechanism to see if it's still working. It should cut the sheet. If it does cut the sheet, your limit position might need to be recalibrated. If it doesn't cut the sheet, the mechanism is malfunctioning.

If I remember correctly that printer has a cut rail on the left side that you remove during maintenance, is that still in place?
