Roland vs640, cutting issue

When Im cutting, seems on certain spots its not cutting all the way. Seems to be on one area of the printer. Everywhere else will cut fine and can weed no problem, but on once section its not cutting deep enough, almost like sliding across. Thinking its maybe the cutting strip on the roland. Not 100% sure though. Any help. The alignment and such is fine.

I would look at the cutting strip where the cuts are not right and you will prob see the issue with it. You will most likely need a new one.

inconsistency of media face stock.

not knowing what media you are using, sounds like this is the culprit
especially if you are using low grade calendar vinyl.

Other thought is the vacuum on the printer, is it even across the feed?

thanks for all the help, think it was the media, cause I tried other media and it cut fine. checking the vaccum too, thanks.

I am using oracal 3164, and still having the cutting issues. Its just so random how it won't cut through the media, but then will cut fine on some parts and not on others. Really getting annoying now. Been happening around 3-4 weeks, changed the cutting strip, thats not it. Any more help?

yeah, it was the holder. Cleaned it out good and put some lube in it. Did'nt even have to use the new one they sent. Old one is running like a charm now.
