Roland XC540 PRINTER ISSUE

Hi I have a Roland xc-540 and am having severe printer issues. I had a major power surge; the printer was on a heavy-duty backup however power to the whole building was lost. I just changed the bearings, changed all three new pumps, and all dampers on my Roland printer. The printer will run one job perfectly, and then the second job behind it will drop the colors. I have powered it off fully and restarted the whole system but same issue. I have also checked the printer, and all seems to be working well. Could someone possible help me with a solution? The prints just keep dropping the colors.

If it happens REPEATEDLY consider the possibility that the UPS (battery backup) is not actually capable of powering the printer under load. Try plugging directly to line power and see what happens before you accidentally damage the printer electronics.

your profile says Central America. What country?
110v/60 hz or 220v/50 hz?
is the machine properly set for local power?
what battery backup? (Picture of model number tag, please)
is it correct for your local power?
MANY of the better units have a set of dip switches that let you “localize”;(set the threshold where you switch to battery power for “undervoltage”) is your set correctly

your printer has a media preheater.
do you have the optional exit heater?
do you have the optional powered take up reel?
are they powered off the battery backup

We are located in Belize Central America. The backup on it is APC 1500 backup unit. We have the media preheater, as well as the automatic take up reel. I will send a video once we do another test print today.
