S80600 Replace Part Now

I'm getting the following message on the screen:
Maintenance Request
Replace Part Now 00820100

I can't find anything regarding this code anywhere on the internet or the service manual. Has anyone come across this and had it resolved?

You have already found this most likely, but this is what that message means:
The product part indicated is nearing or at the end of its service life. Contact Epson for support and provide them with the service code shown on the LCD screen.
You must replace the part before printing again. If you continue to print, a call for service occurs
So you need to call Epson tech support.

I have, but I was hoping someone could tell me what part needs to be replaced. This thing is 7+ years old and I'm not interested in paying $3-4k to have a tech replace a simple part that's just on a counter or something like that.

When I've called they have told me what the part is. Knowing that doesn't get you there though. Trying to buy the part proves harder. Only on my past end-of-life S70670 would they offer to sell me parts.

If your local tech is friendly and you know the parts is in good operating condition and it is just the "life counter" you can sometimes just have them reset it through the service program.

Finally got to the bottom of the code. It's hex with each number and position having a meaning. In this case, it involves the ink lines and ink cartridge retention system all being at end of life expectancy. Eventually the printer will stop printing due to that "life counter", regardless of whether these specific parts have worn out or not.
