Scan Control

A friend sent me this question.....

I want to improve the tracing. Whenever I scan line drawings into Flexi, the trace has a million points/nodes. I want to use less. Corel will give me control, even preview the amount...but Flexi..I don't see any controls.

If you have "Design Central" open, there are settings you can adjust to get better traces.
Noise Reduction
Corners
Resolution
Tolerance %

I usually have to adjust the settings based on the work I am scanning.
Now I scan the image, save it, open in PS and clean up the scan, re-save, open into flexi, then trace. This seems to produce a cleaner trace than just scanning directly into flexi.
