Scan Motor Repair...????

My scan motor went out yesterday...thankfully I had a spare...
Now I am wondering if anybody repairs these 24 volt motors...I would find it hard to believe if nobody does...
At the price of a replacement, it would be a shame to just throw it away...
Anybody know...????

We just had ours replaced a week ago. The tech was in and out in less than an hour and that included her cleaning and fine tuning some other things. Down where you are, I'm sure you can find someone to do it. It was more than we wanted to tackle on our own. As for repairing it, I think it will gather more dust than it's worth in repairs. If there's no 'core' charge on it, I'm sure it's nothing ore than a paper weight. Besides, they aren't at all expensive. Less than $300. A good repair shop is gonna probably bring $250 to do it, it they even wanna give it a try.

Yes...super easy to replace but the cheapest I have found is around $400...
If I could fix this one for $100 or so, I would put it on the shelf because it sure was handy to just grab it and go instead of having to stop production, spend money and then wait for a part to be shipped, all while the printer sits idle for days without making me money :)
