Sealing lusterboard how do u do it?

I have a customer that has all oval signs on their property. I have been sealing my aluminum covered plywood (Lusterboard) with epoxy. I have also used silicone but I'm not convinced that silicone will last the life of the sign.
Any other suggestions for sealing the edges of round signs?

How do you do it?

We tried all the methods, epoxy, paintable chaulk, exterior glue...and there was a time when they all seemed to work about the same.
But I had such a run of bad luck with this material that we have stopped using it. I think they changed the materials used in the manufacturing.
We have signs made from this that are 7-8 years old and look good, and then there are those more recent jobs that were failing after a year or two.
If you look on their website you'll see that though they give a 5 year warranty against delaminating they call it a "medium" term outdoor material as opposed to
"long term" that they give to the plastic core products.

Yep, pass on Lusterboard. I have not had good success with it, if you went and painted the edge every 6 months it might hold up but that would be my best guess. I went to 6mm MaxMetal for almost everything.
