Dear all members,

I'm a new member to this useful fourm.
I've been trying to find an answer to fix my Graphtec FC 8000/130 plotter lately
till I found this fourm. In fact, I read many topics out there. As a result, I decided
to join you. Hoping to find a help out there.
My plotter was working perfectly since, I bought, three years ago.
suddenly, the pen or the blade stopped moving
up and down. All the other function of the machine
working properly.
Dose anyone know what is the possible fault happened to fix it.
Many thanks for reading these few lines.

Try
1. disconnecting power
2. remove the carriage cover- one or two screws
3. check connections to solenoid,
4. check for movement- with your finger, move the knife holder up and down slowly- should move VERY smooth - with machne turned off.
5. Go into the menu- check PEN UP and PEN DOWN commands- see if that works.

I still need help

I followed the instructions that was sent by -Jburns and I have changed
the Y flexible cable and the pen rely board but still the pen is fetish.
could be any other thing be done to let the pen be active again.
please note that the pen moves by hand finger smoothly when the machine
is off. One more thing, by pressing menu then tools to choose the pen up and down.
I reach this page but no action there.
please any other advice?
thank you
