selling sign related items......

nashvillesigns

Making America great, one sign at a time.
So, before i stick my item on the regular sites, i have a question..

i took in trade a 24"x 240" lightbox in aluminum. unpainted with ballasts. all the bulbs worked when the unit was removed. the box was built in 2008. So, its like, in very good condition..

1. can i sell that here?
2. the lexxan face for it has vinyl on the front and blackout on the back. not my idea of peeling it, so , it is gonna need a fresh face. its a shame since it is not that old, nor yellowed.
3. i could put this on Ebay, but am very unsure of its starting value..

Any input is iheard!!

I'm sure you can advertise it here, but a sign 20' long is gonna be a little hard to ship to someone, if they don't live next door to you.

Til you figure in packing/crating and shipping costs [remember, you'll have to package the lamps individually or they'll break in transit], someone could probably build or have it built locally for less money...... and be new.

You might do better trying to sell it outright to a customer and getting retail value for it, rather than what you'll get from someone in the business.

Anyway used, unpainted and without face...... about $650.00 I'm assuming this is single -sided.

Good Luck.....................

When we run across items like this we just email the local sign companies and let them know we have it and then sit on it. YOU or them will eventually have a need for it. We have bought old cans before from other compnaies and brought them in shop and refaced and repainted them. quick turnaround and saved some money

It's going to be tough to find someone that just happens to need/want that size sign and happens to be in an area where the local codes allow for it, etc.

Clean, unpainted aluminum? Take it to your local metal recycling facility and get a couple/few hundred bucks.

Clean it up real good, put new lamps in it and a blank face and sell in locally...I bet you could do better than $650.
