Semi-Trailer Tension frame

We are quoting a tension frame for a banner for semi-trailers. I've installed them on buildings just fine and they do great, but never on trailers.

What has your experiences been?
Is a thicker banner preferable such as 18vs 13 oz?

Yes 18 oz for sure. Obviously, try to hit the trailer framing when you install the sign frame. So design with the framing dimensions.
