sending multiple pdfs in a single file

I don't have Adobe Acrobat which I understand is designed to send multiple pdfs in a single file. Is there another program that can do this? I would rather not have to keep sending customers or others multiple pdfs that have to be opened individually.

Or is there a trick when I'm scanning to send the individual pdfs to a location and send from there?

I used Chrome as my browser, I have Word. I saw online that Google Docs could do this but I must have done something wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Hasn't been updated in about a year or so, but this should do the trick for you.

PS Google is your friend, took me about 5 seconds by searching "open source pdf combine"
