sequential numbering in illy or versa?

I have 500 inventory lables to make and was hoping someone could shed some light on how to number these in an easier way than typing them individually.

i kinda have a feeling i may have to open indesign for the first lol

you will still have to type them, but you would do it in to a CSV/excel file, then create a box in your illy design with a spot color to designate a variable data field.. I cant remember off the top of my head what it is supposed to be called, but you then just put it in to versa, link the CSV file and Bingo. it auto-populates the specified field with the data.

Sorry I'm not sure about your question...however I would look into variable data in VersaWorks. I have no idea how it works but I think you can use it for sequential numbering.

im a fat kid. its always the right time for buttery popcorn.

This is the right answer, would have taken all of 10 seconds using InDesign.

Indesign, Gerber Omega or Publisher will all do sequential numbering / variable data.
