Service Mode is protected?

On my SP-300 I am reading from the service Manuel and it say's to turn on the sub power while pressing left, right and down keys + Power On button to enter the service mode.

When I do this the printer beeps and gives me a message saying Service Mode is protected. How do I unprotect it to do a horizontal head adjustment.

About two weeks ago I had to remove one DX-4 head to install a new manifold and I did not realign the head at that time.

My M & Y cap top does not seem to be sealing properly.

I can draw the ink through it with a syringe from the below the capping station with the heads parked on it but I also see air bubbles when I am doing this.
The test print looks fine once I pull the ink through the head and there is very little drop out.

When I manually raise the capping station I can see the the left side appears to be making contact first while the right side seems to be about 1/8" lower.

I am wondering if this is why my M & Y cap top seem to have an air leak.

Thanks Jim

Write it down on a post-it and wedge somewhere in your printer
