If when you open Versaworks and it says "Printer not connected" or something like that. The link between the two is usually broken, has happened to me 3 times over the years. We use a router and that was the problem, resetting the router fixed it.

If you truly need a part replaced, that is out of my scope of work.

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
I have had them replaced before with success. Check out your local music shop to see if they have an amp repair guy on staff. I have had our local guy fix it for $25! Sometimes the actual USB circuit is broken and that takes a lot more expertise to fix and would need to be sent out to a more involved type of repair place which could cost $100-200. I don't have anywhere to recommend for that kind of repair as everyone we have tried fixed it half the time and then just scammed us out of board the other half of the time.

It may also be a USB cable that has gone bad

I would try changing cable and USB ports before replacing parts on a mother board.

Are you plugged into a USB port on a computer or into a USB port on a hub? USB Hubs go bad a lot !!!

Try all the simple fixes before looking for larger problems.
