Setting up flexi 8.6 again after the crash

I went through this once before prior to my big crash and can't remember how I resolved it...anyone know?

My signmaker 4b is set to the following:
Thermazone HPGL1Com1

Everything else is as follows:

#6 Make sure your settings look like this in your production manager;
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: none
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: Hardware

I've also done the following:

Click on job defaults (in flexi click on the knife tab);
Resolution: 1000.000 steps/in
Passes: 1
Knife offset: 0.012in (having this setting wrong will prevent your cutter from completing cuts and leave a tiny piece not cut)
Packet size: 1000kb
Curve quality: medium-low depending on job size.

Fallow all that and you should have a "Normal" plotter that cuts right the first time instead of doing everything twice:cool1:!

Except that the plotter is doing half the layout or part here, part there. Does anyone know what settings need to be changed. I've been told its a flexi issue since the plotter set up is exactly the same as before the big crash.
I called Flexi tech support...ha, ha, ha,...they said we only support "current" versions for free so...email us. Thanks Flexi for the service after the sale.

Appreciate any help.

Thermazone HPGL@Com1

Stop bits: 1

I've also done the following:

job defaults:
Resolution: 1000.000 steps/in
Passes: 1
Knife offset: 0.020in (having this setting wrong will prevent your cutter from completing cuts and leave a tiny piece not cut)
Packet size: 8kb
Curve quality: high

Problem is: the plotter is doing half the layout or part here, part there, a random line diagonally. Does anyone know what settings need to be changed. I've been told its a flexi issue since the plotter set up is exactly the same as before the big crash.

Thanks for the suggestion, Snydo. I wondered what tileing was and now I know. But, mine is not cutting right. Its cutting half letters, letters missed totally, a random diagonal or horizontal line cut through letters, ...its got something set wrong. Damned if I can figure where or what. Its making me crazy, I know that. Appreciate any thoughts.

One thing only on com 1

Got it figured out. I had the other plotter also on com1 so I switched that to usb and now the 4b is plotting perfectly all by itself on com 1. I guess this means...you can only have one thing on a port at a time. Hope this helps someone else.
