38" you are gonna wish you went bigger... the falcons printer OK but are kind of slow. i have the 46"... i'm hoping to move up to at least the VJ1204 48" someday.

and $3500 sounds a little steep.. it better be in perfect working order.

I had one and it was the worst piece of junk I ever tried to use.

Seriously.

Run away, don't walk.

From the machine being very hard to keep clean, to randomly forgetting settings, to some days it just would not work without powering up and down in between prints, to the machine deciding that a roll of media was a sheet and shooting 50 feet of vinyl out the front, to cross contamination of the heads, random nozzle firings, bad test prints, no test prints, just about everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.

Other than that, it was a total P.O.S.

If you learn how to use it and take a good care of it, then go for it. It is easy to maintain. Used FO38 (or Rockhopper 38) are sold for 2K USD here in europe. The only drawback is the speed...

i disagree with it being a total piece of crap...

i have one (the 46") and so do (or did) a lot of others on this board, and it can make you some money. its not the fastest but neither were the earlier versacamms (we had one of the earlier ones) and the print quality is the same as the versa i had experience with. (the latest versa models i think they have sped them up?)

that price is a little steep though (unless it does come with flexi?) and does it work ?

I completely second that!
