Sign Financing?

I have a customer that wants to finance a sign through us.

A very long time ago I remember someone coming into the shop with this kind of offer. Are these people still around?

We work with Fernwood capital, I will shoot you a PM with contact info. Great option to give clients for higher end projects.

Any local bank should be able to do this? Wonder why they don't go to their own bank? Might be a red-light for you....

Looking at your profile, I can't imagine why someone would want or need to finance a sign with you.

I'm not mocking you or your company, but people generally don't finance signs unless we're talking many many thousands of dollars. Otherwise, a credit card or a trip to their own bank should suffice. I'm afraid I have to agree with Mosh on this one.

If we are talking finance, doesn't the finance/leasing company you work with bear the risk against the customer? E.g. the financing company pays you an agreed amount fully and then charges the customer each month etc.? At least that's the arrangements on other financing areas I've seen (as most common) in Europe...

We have a leasing compnay that pays us in full and then finances the sign with the customer. We have never had to do this, but it clearly states that if payments are missed the monument/sign will be picked up. The finance compnay handles everything.

Not sure why anyone would question why someone needs financing. If they qualify for it the leasing company takes all the liability and you get paid. If they dont qualify I would ask for payment up front.
