As I am working on getting open, I turn my attention to Data management. I am in love with Signvox but am curious about Pocketvox. I am wondering if anyone is using it and if they feel it is worth the extra $100/year and how it differs from just accessing the site.

PocketVOX is simply an optimized web version on a smaller screen. The idea is easier customer access, reviewing leads, tasks, invoices etc. It is a read only app. At the moment you can't enter anything into it but I believe we will be adding more functionality to it this year. Most people will just use the normal web access on a mobile phone browser since they need to actually enter info and to be honest are a little disappointed in what they perceive PocketVOX to be able do. It is designed for owners and sales reps to get to info without having to pinch and zoom. Larger icons, one click phone calls etc. If you are in that scenario then I do believe it to add value. If not then I think you should try one of the other add-ons like customer feedback for surveys, the vehicle wrap add-on or employee time-clock.

We looked at pocketvox when we set everything else up but didn't opt for it. For a traveling salesperson I think it would be great because it provides easy access to info on specific customers, job statuses and leads. It's not for actually managing workflow, inputting orders, etc., it's just for information access, so it's not for everyone for sure.

If you had the choice for a mobile version/app what would you want it to do? I'm just looking for ideas. I'll give you an example. Let's say I could use a specific mobile version that was specific to site surveys. Take a photo, annotate on it, be prompted for specific details on the sign and then generate an order form that had all the info needed to generate a quote and was associated to it automatically. Just a thought but what other ideas do you think would be of added value in a specific mobile version. It could pertain to anything.

yes but at 130 a month, i don't see why you guys keep adding all these extra charges... for "improvements" I think at 130 a month these little features should be included. You might get a few sales out of it, but i think adding these in for everyone at the monthly charge would only attract more customers faster. Think about it.

I'm kind of with you on that, sort of, maybe? As far as pricing, maybe set up a tiered pricing structure, like $79/mo gets the basic program, $99/mo gets the basics plus 2 add-ons, $139/mo gets everything? Dunno. I see where Adam is going with that, in a couple years you could have 5-10 additional add-ons available, at which point you could be pricing yourself out of your own market for someone who wants a lot or all of them.

Anyway, back to your question. For me, I'd like the mobile app to allow me to see job statuses, the job board, etc.. Maybe not enter new orders or quotes as that would be super cumbersome on a phone, but at least be able to check in and see where work stands and maybe rearrange the board if needed. In addition to giving mobile access to the customer database, leads, etc.. The current PocketVox is good for traveling salespeople, but not so much for managers.

Kevin, Thank you for the info. I would be very disappointed if I had selected to pay $100 a year for a read only optimized web version.

I would expect it to be able to create and edit information, set up invoices, email invoices, Assign all the information in the CRM. Basically anything involved with the CRM Process I suppose.

I was a little surprised that this, and the feedback plugin aren't included. (I can understand that wrap one, it seems very involved)

That said, however, Signvox seems to do anything I could want. I do hope it is simple to connect to Quickbooks.

I hope to be able to order for June!

I see both of your points (Insignia & Colorado) but in all reality it doesn't attract more or less customers and it would actually cost every user more.

These are value added options not "improvements". Improvements are always pushed at no cost to you. With these add-ons, if its worth it to you you'll buy it and its worth it to us to develop. If we include everything we ever make into signVOX, it is no longer able to be offered at its current entry point. We'd have to increase the monthly price to everyone. Would you like to pay twice as much for something for features you wouldn't even use just because they are part of the package? I'm guessing no. That would be the only way, I think, we'd price ourselves out of the market; if we make you pay for it.

I'd also go out on a limb to say that even if you were given them for free you wouldn't use it. In fact that I know for sure.

This is why we charge. Not everyone wants them, if its free not everyone will use them, and if you are paying for it we will get feedback to make it better.

No problem. The good thing is everything you wanted to do can be done from you phone..just login through the browser and it works just like using it on your desktop.

The Qb export is easy and works well.

Thanks for the feedback and you as well Insignia & Colorado. Appreciate it as always.
