Solvent ink go bad?

I Bought a vj1204 fro someone and they have bulk ink in bottles that isn't open, Do you all think it is still good?
How long ink can be stored before it have to be discarded?

Most inks do state 1 year shelf life

Oh ok..so i shouldn't use them as a year has gone. They look and smell the same.

I have some Triangle inks for my XC-540. They have no date on them at all, but I am sure some are over a year old. Maybe 2. They still work just fine.

I would think that if they expired, they would have a date?

+1 to exceeding listed shelf life, as long as its not like 4+ years.
Just make sure to gently stir (not shake) the container a bit before putting it into your machine, to mix-up the pigments that may have started to settle.

okay thanks will try what you say and see how it go. Do you all know what can be used besides lint free clothes to wipe the wiper blade ? Can the cleaning solution in the cartridge work for cleaning around the cap top and if i wanted to soak the head?

That solution should work fine. Use a regular paper towel, rag, whatever you feel like to clean the wiper and around the capping station, etc. Just have to make sure you do not leave any strands of lint behind.

okay thanks, i am waiting on rollers and other parts so didn't want to do anything with it until i change the parts.
