Some Print problems on our VJ1604

Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed some banding on the prints.
Maybe banding is an excessive description it is more like a fine line as if a nozzle wasn't firing.
When doing a test print I have 2 off in the Black and 2off in the Cyan and Yellow and Magenta are all OK.
I have had more nozzles out before but it never has shown up as bad as this.
I have a pantone reference chart we printed out when the machine was new and on reprinting it out everything has changed!!!!!
Their used to be a faded black, green, blue and red stripe on the bottom.
The black is not as dense, the green isn't as vibrant, the blue is purple and the red is horrible......
We changed to Lyson Inks nearly 18 months ago and I could not fault them and the test refference chart we printed out on swap over was an exact match to the one with original inks.
All test prints were run using the same profiles and same material.
Anyones help would be helpful.

Thanks

Adjusting the PF is probably the most important thing to do for each substrate. Write them down or store them in #'s.
Menu/right arrow/enter/pick # & enter/down arrow/right arrow/initial print/500mm
Measure and adjust in "initial"

GET TO KNOW THIS PROCEDURE. THAT NOTHING HAS CHANGED IS IRRELEVANT. GET TO KNOW IT. LEARN TO LOVE IT. IT IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND.

3. Calibrate “Page Feed” You will need a fairly accurate millimeter measurement device for optimal PF adjust, a suitable steel rule is available from: McMaster-Carr, http://www.mcmaster.com/, the part number is 6823A62.

You basically need a pf adjust for each different type of media that you are using, you can save these in the user settings - there are 30 of them.

The first thing you need is an accurate mm ruler, 600mm will be the most accurate.
Menu1
Set Up
Media Type
Type ?

PF Adjust
Initial Print - pick 500 mm - this will print out sets of tick marks on each edge of the media.

Cut this piece off, lay it on a flat surface and measure - estimate between tick marks on your ruler. I.e. 498.2

Got back through the menu to PF
Initial Change - enter your measured value there.

Using this method I have never had to do the micro adjust.

Have you done a head soak to try and recover your missing nozzles?

You may also want to try different 'waves'.

I will have a go at this tomorrow (can't sleep full of cold, been awake since 2am!!!)
I have done a lot of head soaks but they are not comming back.
Machine is 3 year old now so probably due new print heads.
It just seems very strange as this has just happened recentley.

Well I have got in this morning and adjusted the pf.
Yes the prints are better but the colours are still out!
The blue is purple etc....
Could I have an ink issue here?

I had a similair problem many years ago on a water based printer and after a lot of adjusting the RIP it turned out the CMYK cartridges were a slight different colour from the originals!
All the cartridges were changed roughly 2 weeks ago and the problem colours have got worse and worse.
