Hi All,

Encountering some minor binding with the cable guides for the plotter (cut) head. I replaced the clear plastic guides, but some minor binding is still occuring. Any suggestions for a good lubricant to use?

Here's a video (on YouTube):

make sure you clean all the places that the clear plastic rides on that is what its binding, be careful there is sharp edges every where and if it binds too much it will take out the cable, endcoder strip and your new clear plastic guide. I know it happened to me a few months ago.... Hope this helps Jr

If it was binding it should show an error message.
Looks like you have "full width scan" turned off. If turned off, the head will only travel the width of the printed area not the full width of the printer.

I use 3M silicone spray lube (dry type) #08897. I didn't spray it directly but applied alittle with small piece of lint free cloth.

Works well for me.

We just clean the snot out of that track with alcohol wipes periodically, it is supposed to slide through it if everything is lined up & clean. If a lube had to be used I would recommend a dry lube also like graphite.
