When removing a head to change a manifold should the head be parked on the capping station?

I have all the power off and unplugged since you will be unplugging the head then use the tool that manually lowers the capping station. Then once the head is removed I use the tool to raise the capping station again so the other heads don't dry out. Then repeat for install. That is on my xc-540s not sure if its the same.
