Sp300v print cut alignment issues

Hi, when i set the print cut alignment on the machine its pretty much bang on.. even in service mode.

But when im printing it starts running out, particularly in the center of the row. If im printing / cutting 25mm diam stickers, the start and end of the row can be fine but towards the center the cut drops by a couple of mill..

Ive just had a new encoder strip fitted which i hoped would fix the problem but it hasnt.. any ideas?

At 25mm diameter, any kind of buckling in the material is going to cause the cut to be off by a little bit. Judging by the fact that it is happening in the middle of the row seems to point in that direction. Try turning the vacuum up and turning the heat off while cutting. Most RIPs have that option.

Also, if the first cuts are accurate, and gets more off the further it goes, the media is likely skewing. Usually the fault of hardened pinch rollers, or weakened pinch roller arms. Also make sure the grit rollers are clear of paper and adhesive, they can limit grip.

Slowing the cuts down can be a stop gap fix until the problem is solved.

Theres no material buckling, the print run is 80 labels per time.. so about 4".. the 2 ends are in reg.. so are the print / cut alignment. The pressure rollers are pretty new.. 6 months maybe.. vacuum is on high

What does your cut strip look like? If it has a groove in it, especially in the middle, that could cause the issue.

its ritrama 100 i think, the cutting strips fine, i think the speed is 15 / 15, i tried it on all speeds. its a material i always use. its been fine and now for about a month now its been like this. ive env matched it and it seems a little bit better for 1 small run then its off again
